Floor Tile Wood Floor
Has anyone used tile and wood floor together and how did it come out?
We have a fairly large “country” kitchen. Right now it has part of it where the table sits in carpet and the rest is linolieum. I want to put tile in the whole kitchen, but my husband thought we’d replace the carpet with wood flooring and the rest with tile. Has anyone done this and how did it turn out? Or should we just tile the whole thing? Also if the floors are level with each other, can we still accomplish using both? Thanks for any help!
Hey there. To be honest I do not think tile and wood in the same room would look good. It would not flow, if you understand what I mean.
We have tiled and put wood floor in every house we have lived in (and that is quite a few). We tile some rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, mud rooms, gym and the rest we put wooden floors in. It is a good idea to get a color tile that will go with the color of the wooden floor if one room opens onto another.
